The variety of donuts is so great, it’s unbelievable. They can be both sweet and savory, as a dessert and as an appetizer, with filling inside or fudge on top, with berries, nuts, herbs and spices. Donuts can be round, oblong, with a hole in the middle. But the most interesting thing is that you can easily cook them at home, and how quickly they disappear from the plate is incredible.
Sweet donuts with cherries
For cooking:
- chicken egg – 1 pc.
- granulated sugar – 100 g.
- milk – 150 ml.
- vanilla sugar – ½ teaspoon
- salt – a pinch
- pressed yeast – 7 g.
- wheat flour – 400 g.
- butter – 60 g.
- vegetable oil for frying
- pitted cherries – 150 g.
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Step by step recipe:
- thaw the cherries, remove the pits, and put them in a strainer to drain the juice, it can be used to make a drink or cherry sauce
- cherry is a source of a huge amount of vitamins, minerals, and most importantly antioxidants, has a positive effect on the functioning of the whole organism
- heat milk to a temperature of 38-42 degrees
- add sugar and yeast, stir until dissolved
- leave in a warm place to activate
- melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove
- take a deep bowl, pour the yeast mixture, beat in the egg, pour in the butter, vanilla sugar, salt and add the sifted flour, with flour enriched with oxygen, the dough is much softer and more tender
- knead the dough, cover with a cotton towel and leave to grow for 30 minutes, as a result, the dough has risen 2 times, it is not too thick and sticks to dry hands
- prepare a container or a mug of water to dip a spoon into it, the dough does not stick to a wet spoon and lags well behind
- Pour vegetable oil into a small saucepan or deep frying pan, heat over medium heat
- grease your hands with water, put the dough in your palm with a tablespoon, place one or two cherries in the middle, pinch the edges
- immediately transfer the resulting donut to the hot oil
- do the same with the rest of the test
- Turn donuts constantly to form a light brown uniform crust.
- remove with a slotted spoon, on a paper towel so that all excess oil is absorbed
Transfer to a wide dish, sprinkle with powdered sugar, serve with a cup of fresh tea or coffee, children love with a glass of juice or lemonade.

- sesame seeds – 2 tbsp. spoons
- dill greens – a small bunch
- vegetable oil for frying
Step by step recipe:
- dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar, leave for 15 minutes
- in a separate container, mix the egg, grated cheese, sesame seeds, chopped dill (pre-rinse and dry), salt
- add yeast mixture and sifted wheat flour
- dill is involved in the breakdown of indigestible food, strengthens the immune system and is very useful for people suffering from kidney and liver diseases
- knead the dough, form small balls
- pour oil into a saucepan or deep frying pan and heat well, put 5-6 pieces of balls and fry over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on all sides, until a beautiful brownish-golden color
- put on a paper towel, and then on a wide plate or dish
