Lavash roll with carrots, processed cheese and cod liver is an original appetizer that your family and friends will appreciate. Especially, I’m sure your men will like it.
An unusual combination of two completely different, but very familiar fillings will certainly surprise and delight everyone!
In fact, I came up with such a filling for pita bread quite spontaneously, and then I was so shocked by the result that I was very proud of myself for a long time. The fact is that my family is very fond of a salad of grated carrots with processed cheese, mayonnaise and garlic. Also, a cod liver appetizer with eggs constantly hangs out in my refrigerator. On weekdays, I just spread it on bread, on holidays I fill tartlets with it.
And so, on the next day off, when I was waiting for my son-in-law and daughter to visit, I decided to quickly figure out something from pita bread. Lavash is always at hand. This is such a unique product that I simply cannot do without it. Indeed, it helps a lot when guests unexpectedly appear on the threshold, or when you just want something tasty.
I wrapped a filling suitable for such an occasion in it, fried it – here’s a delicious hot appetizer for you; I put it in the refrigerator for an hour – in front of you is an amazing cold appetizer.
In a word, without thinking twice, I decided to take the path of least resistance, that is, to cook something that is already a success, but beat it in a new way.

To prepare the roll, we need:
- 2 sheets of lavash
- carrots (medium size) – 1 piece
- processed cheese – 2 pieces
- garlic – 2 cloves
- cod liver – 1 can
- eggs – 2 pieces
- mayonnaise – by eye (it took me three incomplete tablespoons)
Grated carrots on a coarse grater

Cheeses can be any, even with two different tastes, only they need to be slightly frozen beforehand, otherwise it will be difficult to grate.
Now I’ll combine the carrots and curds together, add mayonnaise to them, mix
Squeeze garlic through a press, one or two cloves (depending on their size)
Be careful with the amount of garlic, otherwise it will kill all the tastes.
I mix it again, and now one filling for pita bread is ready.
I’ll take the second one. Everything is even simpler here, you just need to open a jar of cod liver, drain off excess liquid, transfer the liver to a separate plate, mash with a fork.

Add quite a bit of mayonnaise, mix
Here in front of me are two completely self-sufficient snacks that perfectly shade and complement each other, and I will be happy to help them with this.
I take one sheet of pita bread, spread it evenly with carrot and cheese filling
Attention, there should not be too much filling, and it should not be very liquid, otherwise, trouble, the pita bread will be heavily saturated with it, get wet and, as a result, fall apart.
There is another option. You can divide this sheet into two parts and put one half on the other, and only then smear it. Do the same with the other sheet. For the first time, perhaps this will be the best way, but I’m not doing all this for the first time, I know the measure, so I cook carefully.
I put the second one on the first sheet, I already missed it with cod liver filling
I rolled everything up into one big roll, cut it into two pieces (for convenience), put each one in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator for at least an hour
Time passed, she took out the roll, cut it into small identical pieces, laid them out on a beautiful dish, decorated them. And here in front of me is a delicious, spicy, very elegant pita appetizer, which, I hope, will surely win over my guests with its unusual taste and attractive appearance
Fresh carrots with garlic will set off the rich taste of the liver, eggs and cheese will soften them, and all together – it’s really very tasty!
My son-in-law and daughter, as always, were satisfied, and now for a while I stopped experimenting with fillings for pita bread, because everyone asks for a roll only with such a filling.
