New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and it’s time to plan your menu for the holiday party. You can’t do without a rabbit on the table, because it is a symbol of the coming year. A little imagination and skill and a masterpiece is ready.
For cooking:
- potatoes – 5 pcs.
- carrots in Korean – 150 g.
- egg – 4 pcs.
- onion – 1 pc.
- chicken ham – 200 g.
- pickled cucumber – 3 pcs.
- cheese – 90 g.
- mayonnaise – 150 g.
Recipe:
- boil potatoes in their skins, cool, peel, cut into cubes
- finely chop the onion, soak in the marinade for 30 minutes (100 ml of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, a pinch of salt)
- hard boil eggs, leave in cold water for 10 minutes, peel, separate the yolks from the proteins
- chicken ham, cut into small cubes
- carrots are better to take ready-made, but if you have time, you can cook it yourself
- grate cheese on a fine grater
- pickled cucumber in small pieces
- in a large bowl, mix all the ingredients: potatoes, carrots, ham, cucumber, onion, cheese and finely chopped egg yolks, add mayonnaise and mix
- divide the mass into 2 parts: the body and the head
- from a large part to mold an oval, from a small ball, attach the torso to the head
- grate the whites on a fine grater, sprinkle the rabbit on top
- spread the greens on a large tray and put the salad in the shape of a rabbit
- from lettuce leaves make ears, from thin straws of carrots – mustaches, instead of eyes – halves of olives
You can decorate such a salad at your discretion and as your imagination tells you.
New Year’s rabbit salad
Ingredients:
- rabbit fillet – 200 g.
- egg – 2 pcs.
- sweet salad onion – ½ pcs.
- prunes – 100 g.
- marinated champignon mushrooms – 150 g.
- carrots – 1 pc.
- processed cheese – 1 briquette
- walnuts – 50 g.
- mayonnaise – 120 g.
- vegetable oil for frying
Recipe:
- boil potatoes in their skins, cool, grate
- boil eggs and carrots in a separate pan, peel, cut (yolks) into small cubes
- chop mushrooms, fry in vegetable oil with chopped onion
- melted cheese on a grater
- pour prunes with boiling water, leave for 15 minutes, cut into strips
- chop the nuts, dry them in a frying pan
- separate the fillet part of the rabbit, rinse in cold water, dry with a towel, cut into a large piece, fry in a pan over high heat
- add a little water to the meat, simmer under the lid until moisture evaporates
- ready-made pieces cut into cubes
- in a deep bowl, mix all the ingredients, season with mayonnaise
- on a large tray, from the resulting mass, form the head of a rabbit with ears, sprinkle with grated protein on top, make eyes from prunes, a mustache from the remains of carrots
Do not forget that the New Year is very close, and the festive table and good mood are the main attributes. Remember about friends and good acquaintances whom you have not seen for a long time and believe in miracles, they will definitely come true.
